What you should know about Abrum.
What exactly is Abrum?
Abrum is a local AI operating system for your business. Your data, apps and agents are organised in separate workspaces, giving every context a clear boundary and its own permissions.
Where is my data stored?
On a station you control. Every workspace has its own local data store. Content is signed and can be synchronised directly between your devices or approved stations, without a central server acting as the sole source of data.
What can an agent access?
Only the workspaces and app functions you explicitly grant. Abrum checks every read operation and action again. A visible app or selected workspace alone does not give an agent permission.
What does Warden do?
Warden is Abrum's approval layer. Before an agent receives protected access, you see the destination, purpose, scope and duration. Only your signed approval creates a limited permission that can expire or be revoked at any time.
Can the AI see my passwords or API keys?
No. Apps declare which credentials they need for a specific function. After the permission check succeeds, the station applies those credentials on the server side. Plain text never enters the chat or the AI model's context.
Can I involve my team or customers?
Yes. Access is granted per workspace as read, edit or manage. You can share a complete project workspace or only the exact context required for collaboration.
Can Abrum connect existing systems?
Yes. Apps bring their own data structures and clearly defined functions and are installed in the appropriate workspace. Email, project tools or specialist processes can be connected while credentials remain sealed and permissions stay separate.
